History Conference

Medical History of World War I

The Department of Medical History of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the U.S. Army Medical Department Center of History and Heritage will co-sponsor an international conference on the medical history of World War I, with presentations on a variety of topics including diseases, humanitarian medical work in the midst of war, medical professionalism, public health and the influenza pandemic, and other topics.

The conference will be held at the Army Medical Department Museum on historic Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas.  Meeting support is being generously provided by the Army Medical Department Museum Foundation. 

Registration, including whole-conference and one-day registrations, is now open.  Space will be limited, so please register early. Information will be posted at http://history.amedd.army.mil/ as it comes available.
